Don’t Just Increase Website Traffic, Double It! traffic Dont Just Increase Website Traffic, Double It!

There are plenty of ways to increase website traffic, with the most common being through SEO (Search Engine Optimization). However, this isn’t always the easiest or the quickest learning curve. So then what do you do to easily increase website traffic even if you are already using SEO? Social media traffic, and I’m not talking Facebook or Twitter.

Use Social Syndication To Increase Website Traffic

First let’s cover what social syndication is. Let’s say you post an article like this one on Facebook. Ordinarily, only people that see your page  will have exposure to your article so your potential to increase website traffic is limited to the number of friends you have. Then one of your awesome friends decide that they are going to “like” it or re-post it on their page because they thought it was useful and is something to be shared. Now your  original post is also being exposed to all of their friends and your traffic potential increases. That is the power of social syndication. The more people you have sharing your content, the more exposure, and the more traffic.

Added bonus: Now that you are sharing it on social media platforms it is easier for them to “tweet” or “like” your content which is seen as a “Vote” for your post by the search engine gods.

Added bonus #2: When a friend shares an article or a post with you, even if it is a subject that you may not normally read about, you may still go check it out because it was shared by a friend. Compared to standard SEO, where only people that are actively searching for a keyword will be exposed to it (assuming you are on page 1 of google in the first place).

Automate The Process

Let’s be serious, if you had to share your article by hand to all your social platforms it would give you a migraine. A daily migraine isn’t worth it just to increase website traffic. Luckily, there is the beauty of automation. The best way to do this is through TribePro, which happens to be built exactly for this process. Once you make an account on TribePro, you will select whose content you want to “syndicate” and others will do the same. At first, the process is odd and unfamiliar like anything else that is new but once you get started you will be able to have hundreds to thousands of people automatically syndicating your content to THEIR social sites in minutes. There have been times where I posted an article in TribePro and had 954 shares 20 seconds after I hit the refresh button!

Increase Website Traffic Through SEO or Social Syndication

If you are just starting out on the internet and want to increase website traffic then it depends (I know you love it when people say “it depends”). If you are a seasoned veteran and not doing this then you need to be. Don’t worry, I won’t leave you hanging and not tell you what it depends on. The difficulty with SEO in the beginning if you have just made a website is that realistically it will take approximately 90 days for your website to gain the necessary traffic and “authority” (authority is another topic for another day) to rank on page one of Google. If you aren’t on the first page of Google then you won’t get much traffic from SEO.

Social syndication is something that you can begin to do from the beginning to get traffic however it isn’t free. If you are on a very tight and limited budget then I would concentrate on profit producing activities until you have a bigger budget. Traffic in itself does not guarantee you short term profit.

Ideally, you should do both in the beginning. Use basic SEO in the beginning (don’t worry about the fancy stuff) to build your websites authority so that you will have the ability to get ranked on page one of Google later. In the meantime, use TribePro to get immediate short term traffic.

Tools Needed For The Social Syndication Method

TribePro – You will need at least the “Plus” version to take advantage of the automation. If you are going to do the free version then you are just wasting your time because you will have to do everything by hand.

Onlywire – This is the “submitter” that TribePro uses to submit your content and other peoples content that you are sharing to various social sites. Signing up for the different social sites in the beginning is a tedious process but you only have to do it once and it is well worth it. There is a link to Onlywire through TribePro.

Excellent content, Duke. I think I’ll give Tribepro a try.

The concept of increasing traffic is REALLY important. TribePro offers some wonderful benefits. Be careful though because they use OnlyWire for syndication and I got an unexpected $250 bill one month for too much syndication…so the lesson is to manage it carefully.

Ya I heard about about that happening to some people in the past. Thankfully they made an adjustment with Onlywire where you can click an option so that isn’t possible anymore.

I looked at tribe pro, but to be quite honest found it all a bit confusing, well a lot actually. I know a lot of people are using it though.

It can be confusing at first but they have some simple tutorial videos to get started. The good thing is that when people look at it and get confused they don’t do it, so you have an advantage over your competition if you are trying to rank an article.

Thanks for the explanation Duke. I use Thesis as my blog template, and my blogs are automatically syndicated through Onlywire. I don’t have TribePro however so I guess the beauty of it is the mass syndication by others.

It is a HUGE component Val, and it sounds like you already have half of the equation. All you need to do now is complete the puzzle.

Duke, I recently wrote a post similar to this, and you said it so much better than I. =) Your friend, Juli
