Prospecting is something new to them, they don’t have any success in the industry or any experience in it so they think they can’t do it. How am I suppose to recruit someone to work with me if I haven’t done anything in the industry yet?

What I am going to point out to you is something that you can also use to overcome a common objection. The disbelief that they would be able to do the same. The truth is that you have been practicing and honing your prospecting skills your whole life, and I’m going to prove it to you.

Remember The Goal With MLM Prospecting

Your goal is more exposure. You are just sharing an experience or something new you ran across. It’s no different then sharing with someone the new TV you just bought or asking them to try out a new restaurant. You do this virtually everyday and have been doing it your whole life. You are prepared and you are already successful at it. The only difference is that you are sharing something new that you haven’t talked about in the past. Don’t let the formality of the act being called “prospecting” lead you a stray, in the end you are still just doing what you are already good at.

    Great post Duke! What I absolutely love is that people don’t realize that they network everyday. When you invite someone to the movies, or out to go hang out you’re simply just sharing something with them.

    The same applies when it comes to prospecting, all you’re doing is exposing the opportunity to people.
